Note Plugin

The Note Plugin

Probably the most frequently used NoteMagician plugin, the Note Plugin is used to create text based notes. This plugin incorporates a fully functional word processor which includes these categories of features:

  • Flexible Character Formatting – Character formatting allows you to choose the style, color and font of any text.
  • Paragraph Formatting – Allows you to specify the spacing and alignment of paragraphs.
  • Tabs – Makes it easy to align columnar notes.
  • Numbered Lists – There are many choices for automatic, hierarchical list numbering.
  • Embedded URL Links – You can insert embedded links to clickable URL links
  • Embedded Audio – NoteMagician allows you to record audio using your sound card and embed links to play that audio in your notes.
  • Embedded Pictures – Notes can contain embedded (or links to) picture files.
  • Printing – Notes can be previewed for printing and then printed to your selected printer.
  • Drag/Drop – Text can be dragged and dropped onto the editor from compatible programs.
  • Spelling Checker – Spelling can be checked with the built-in spell checker.

Using The Note Plugin Editor

The Note Plugin editor works like most text editing/word processing editors. The Item Pane is set up so that your text is entered into a vertical scrolling window. Text will word-wrap at the edge of the window. Therefore expanding the window horizontally will reformat your note. Use the Enter key to end a paragraph with what is called a “hard” return.

Note Plugin Additional Menu Items

When the Note Plugin is loaded, it adds several items to the Main Menu Bar. The Format main menu item allows you to perform various formatting features that are described in the Note Plugin Format Menu topic. The basic Edit menu has the following selections added or modified for use of the Note Plugin:
