Installing NoteMagician is Easy!

We distribute NoteMagician and NoteMagician Personal in 2 different formats: CD-ROM retail package, and online download. The online download may be the Personal or fully licensed version.

If you have downloaded NoteMagician and it has an extension of .EXE…

• Locate the folder where you stored NM_WithDotNet.exe (.Net Framework included) or NM_NoDotNet.exe (.Net Framework not included).
• Double-click on the executable file.
• Follow the installation instructions. For new users, we recommend using the defaults. Anything can be changed later.

If you have downloaded NoteMagician and it has an extension of .ZIP…

• Locate the folder where you stored NM_WithDotNet.zip (.Net Framework included) or NM_NoDotNet.zip (.Net Framework not included).
• Double-click on the zip file. If you do not have software that can open the zip file, you might try going to http://www.winzip.com.
• Either extract the single executable file to some temporary directory, or simply double click on the file while the contents of the zip archive are being displayed. This will usually begin execution of that file, which in this case, will start the installation process.
• Follow the installation instructions. For new users, we recommend using the defaults. Anything can be changed later.
