Introducing the List Pane
When a Folder is selected in the Folder Pane (or one of your Favorite folders is selected from the Favorites Tab Bar), and NoteMagician is in List View (View > List View), the List Pane is populated with all the items in that folder. A typical List Pane is shown above.
You can switch between List View and Item View with the 
button alongside the Favorites Tab Bar, provided you have that bar enabled (View > Favorites) or through options on the View Menu.
List View Columns
How List View appears can be configured by you. Using the List View Preferences (View > Preferences > NoteMagician > List View) you can choose which fields will be shown, in what order they will appear, and how they will be sorted. The available columns are:

The NoteMagician topic/folder path where a deleted item was original saved. This column will be blank except for items in the Deleted Items folder. |
ID |
A unique numerical ID associated with an item. It is assigned automatically by NoteMagician and cannot be changed by the user. |
Moving Items Between Folders
Items can be moved into different folders using one of 3 techniques:
- Left click on the item title and hold to drag the selected items from the List Pane to the desired folder in the Folder Pane (be sure that you have the target folder visible in the Folder Pane);
- Use the Right-Click context menu as described below;
- Choose the Move option from the Actions Menu.
List View Context (Right-Click) Menu
You can move the mouse over any item in the List Pane and right click your mouse to reveal the List Pane Context menu, with the options below:

Print Item |
Print the selected item(s). This will bring up Windows standard print dialog so that you can select the printer and options. |
Print List |
Print the current item list. This will bring up Windows standard print dialog so that you can select the printer and options. |
Delete |
Move the selected items to the Deleted Items folder. You will be asked to verify. |
Undelete |
Available only when viewing the Deleted Items folder, will allow you to restore the selected items to their original folder. |
Move |
Allows you to select a folder into which the selected items will be moved. |
Close to Tray |
Close NoteMagician’s main user interface to an icon in the system tray. |
Quit |
Quit NoteMagician. This will close the application, removing its icon from the system tray. |
